About KIM

Kim was admitted as a lawyer to the Supreme Court of NSW in 1997 and the Federal and High Courts of Australia in 1998. Kim graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (with Honours) and Bachelor of Arts from Macquarie University. She is a nationally accredited mediator with the Law Society of NSW’s Lawyer Mediator Accreditation Scheme. Kim also holds a Certificate in Theology (with Honours) from Moore College.


Kim has over 20 years’ experience in civil law having worked as a Senior Associate with Price Waterhouse Coopers Legal. She has acted for some of Australia’s largest insurance companies in a range of civil matters including coronial inquests, class actions, personal injury and business interruption claims.

 

What KIM does

Kim has extensive experience in civil litigation and dispute resolution. She practices in the following areas:

  • Employment law, including employment contracts, unfair dismissal, bullying and harassment, general protections claims, workplace investigations and whistleblower complaints.
  • Medical negligence and personal injury
  • Wrongful deaths and Coronial inquests
  • Trespass and Nuisance matters

 

Life Outside McINTOSH McPHILLAMY & CO 

Kim is an adjunct senior lecturer with the Australian Graduate and Policing School at Charles Sturt University, where she wrote several subjects for the Bachelor of Laws degree. Kim holds a Fellowship with the Higher Education Academy of the United Kingdom. She has published the book, Practical Legal Ethics with Thomson Reuters and serves as a member of the Ethics Committee for the Law Society of New South Wales.


Kim is also a board member of two not for profit boards.
