Paul Crennan

B.Ec., LL.B., Acc. Spec. (Local Govt & Plan)

After completing Degrees in Economics and Law at Sydney University, Paul was admitted as a solicitor in 1980 and is accredited by the Law Society of New South Wales as a specialist in Local Government and Planning Law.

Joining the firm in 1984, Paul is the only accredited specialist in Local Government & Planning Law west of the Blue Mountains.

Paul provides legal services and advice across a number of areas including:

  • Local Government and Planning;
  • Environmental Law;
  • Development matters - including industrial and retail development;
  • Pollution cases; and
  • Council matters.

With over 27 years of specialised experience, Paul appears regularly in the Land and Environment Court and has conducted cases reaching the High Court of Australia and Court of Appeal levels.

Paul is an active member of the planning and environmental community as a Vice President of the Environment and Planning Law Association (NSW) and as a foundation member of the Central West Planning Group and the Local Government Lawyers Group.

Paul is the Chair of the Advisory Board of Centacare, Bathurst.
